Bertolit applies your floor resins for better waterproofing

We produce waterproof resin coatings and cladding.

  • We apply a waterproof resin to make your building floors (balconies, parking lots, basements) waterproof and slip-resistant.
  • We apply a resin coating to make floors more resistant to wear and impact, easy to maintain and visually appealing.

Bertolit, expert in damp: infiltrations, injections, casings

Water infiltration and static cracks are common in both old and new buildings, and we counteract these disorders with pressurized resin injections and casing.
Resin injections are carried out using “injection needles”, followed by covering with a strip of casing to combat water infiltration and seal static cracks.
What’s more, in the event of damp, mould or capillary rise problems, we always find a cost-effective solution to remedy the situation.
There are many options to choose from, just to name a few:

  • Complete encasement is a technique that consists of making walls and floors completely watertight from the inside by applying a specific resin.
This prevents outside water from seeping through basement floors or walls when drainage is faulty.
It’s a fast, effective but costly option.
  • The installation of a lift pump in collaboration with a qualified plumber and electrician to remedy problems of rising water in basements.
This solution is easy to install and cost-effective.
  • Drainage is an “external” solution to water infiltration and capillary rise problems.
This system recovers water that seeps into the surface layer of the soil and redirects it to an existing drain.
It’s an expensive and complex solution to implement, but it’s the most durable.

Our company offers you its experience in cleaning up your parking lots and basements.

Parking lots and basements are subject to a number of major problems that need to be taken seriously and resolved as soon as they appear: remediation of carbonation, repair of expansion joints, waterproofing and drainage systems, remediation of crawl spaces and networks and water infiltration, bi-component resin floor signage for traffic and pedestrian areas.

Masonry company, we drill your concrete wall in Geneva

Core drilling is the act of cutting a clean, cylindrical hole in a wall or floor using a core drill. We produce a wide range of core drills, with diameters from 8 mm to 400 mm, for cable routing, technical sheathing, pipe installation, ventilation and facade analysis.
We also carry out all types of masonry, solid or hollow, thin or thick plaster, single or multi-layer, lime or portland cement-based.

Entreprise de maçonnerie, nous réalisons vos carottages de mur béton à Genève

We carry out acrobatic work at height and difficult access using ropes and aerial work platforms.

Safety upgrades involve (as the name suggests) making aging buildings safe.
(another similar term is “purging the building”).
In concrete terms, as a building ages, it deteriorates, and pieces of concrete, rendering, masonry, waterproofing or metalwork can detach from it, endangering the safety of the site’s occupants.
Our intervention consists of probing the entire facade, then manually removing any pieces that threaten to fall off, to ensure the safety of occupants.

Renovation of expansion joints on building facades in Geneva

Expansion joints are flexible joints found in modern buildings, which deteriorate over time.
This degradation causes infiltration into buildings.
What’s more, all buildings built before 1975 have expansion joints that are likely to contain PCBs (hazardous substances), which must be remediated by a specialized company.
Bertolit specializes in this type of work.

One technique for effectively removing graffiti is airbrushing.
This involves cleaning the graffiti at low pressure so as not to damage the substrate.
We can work on natural stone or all types of concrete.
This method is simple, fast, effective and respectful of people and the environment.
We use equipment from the independent “SKID” range and the advantages of the Hydrogommage ® Basse Pression ® technique using the Vortex ® effect.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT SPECIAL WORK

WHEN TO USE AN EXPANSION JOINT?

An expansion joint is used (as the name suggests) to meet the building's expansion requirements. Like everything else on the planet, buildings expand due to high and low temperatures. For example, the Eiffel Tower can vary by up to 20 cm over the course of a year due to the effects of temperature. So we find expansion joints in many parts of a building. For example, between two buildings to prevent cracking, or between two prefabricated concrete parapets.

WHAT TYPES OF CASING ARE AVAILABLE?

There are 2 main types of casing: either total casing or casing strip. Total casing is designed to stop water infiltration and capillary rise in enclosed areas such as basements. Casing strips, on the other hand, are used just to seal a well-defined area.

HOW TO WATERPROOF CONCRETE?

There are two ways of waterproofing concrete: with waterproofing resin or with bituminous waterproofing. We apply waterproofing resin to make building floors (balconies, parking lots, basements) watertight and slip-resistant, while we apply bituminous waterproofing to parking lot slabs or flat roofs by laying a vapour barrier, thermal insulation (extruded, polyurethane, mineral), then a bituminous layer and a pedestrian-friendly (slatted) or non-pedestrian-friendly (gravel) surface.
