Aerogel exterior insulating plaster

Aerogel-based insulating plaster offers an innovative solution for the thermal insulation of historic buildings.
We replace old plaster with this revolutionary insulating material on building facades to improve their energy performance.
Made from silica, aerogel is an extremely effective insulation material, ideal for renovating your home.
Presented as a rendering, it adds an aesthetic touch while saving energy thanks to its insulating properties.
With aerogel insulating plaster, Bertolit offers you a modern, high-performance thermal insulation solution for your building.
As a reminder: 2cm of insulating material divides the heat loss of an uninsulated wall by 2.  (so the extra 18cm won’t save as much as the first 2).
Insulating renders are one of the best solutions for improving the energy performance of older buildings.

Envelope energy compliance in accordance with CECB+ protocols (Certificat énergétique cantonal des bâtiments)

As a specialist in Geneva, Bertolit can guide you in bringing your buildings up to CEB+ energy standards.
Our thermal renovation experts enhance the energy efficiency of your building envelope by scrupulously following CECB+ protocols.
From the initial audit to heating system optimization, every intervention is designed to minimize heat loss and maximize your home’s performance.
The CECB+ also informs you about the subsidies available to support your project.
By choosing Bertolit, you ensure that your property is in line with the latest Swiss energy standards.

Extremely thin interior insulation

Take advantage of interior insulation solutions offering excellent thermal performance while preserving the space in your home.
Our high-performance insulation panels (U = 0.015 W/mK) are distinguished by their low thickness, enabling them to be installed on your walls without taking up excessive space.
The insulation we use is moisture-resistant and comes with a vapour barrier for maximum protection against heat loss.
When you choose interior insulation, you’re opting for an effective solution that enhances the thermal comfort of your home while respecting the architectural integrity of your walls.

Basement and cellar ceiling insulation

Insulating cellar and basement ceilings with rigid insulating panels is an essential operation for improving the thermal performance of your buildings.
At Bertolit, we’ve mastered the techniques needed to insulate these often neglected and complex spaces, cluttered as they are with constraining technical elements.
Our work guarantees an effective thermal barrier that limits heat loss.
By renovating the insulation of your cellar ceilings and floors, you can optimize the heating of your property and make significant energy savings.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THERMAL INSULATION IN BUILDINGS

WHAT IS THE COST OF HEAT INSULATION IN A BUILDING?

For simple surfaces it's around 300.00/m2. In the case of more ambitious insulation, with replacement of joinery, closing of loggias and other services to complete the thermal insulation, the costs can rise to 2000/m2.

WHAT IS THE BEST EXTERNAL INSULATION?

Polyurethane for modern buildings and aerogel for older buildings. For modern buildings, polyurethane is often recommended as the exterior insulation of choice. On the other hand, for older buildings, aerogel is preferred because of its exceptional insulating properties while preserving the building's historic character.

WHAT SUBSIDIES ARE AVAILABLE FOR THERMAL INSULATION IN GENEVA?

In the canton of Geneva, the CECB subsidy is between €750 and €1,500, and the subsidy for facades and roofs is €70/m2. For walls and floors more than 2 m below ground, the subsidy is 40/m2. For more information, visit www.energie.ch.
